The project

The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) has awarded Baulderstone Hornibrook the detailed design, construction and ten year maintenance contract for the Pacific Highway upgrade north of the Karuah bypass to Viney Creek. Baulderstone Hornibrook will work in conjunction with Maunsell Australia (design) and Hassells (urban landscaping) to complete the project. The contract includes:

Detailed design of the project including road, bridge, drainage and structural design, landscaping, urban design and documentation of the construction work.
Construction of approximately 11 kilometres of dual carriageway, including environmental protection measures.
Non-construction activities managed by Baulderstone Hornibrook such as environmental management and community consultation.
Maintenance for a ten year period.
Construction of four sets of twin bridges.
