Welcome to the Karuah to Bulahdelah Section One (Karuah Bypass to Viney Creek) Upgrade web site.

The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) has spent several years developing a suitable location and concept design to upgrade the Pacific Highway in consultation with the local community.

The project involves the construction of a four-lane dual carriageway and the construction of four sets of twin bridges on this 11 kilometre section of the State Road Network.

Baulderstone Hornibrook has been awarded the contract to design, construct and maintain the Karuah to Bulahdelah Upgrade of the Pacific Highway.

This project is being jointly funded by the NSW and Federal Governments as part of the $2.2 billion Pacific Highway Upgrading Program to improve road conditions, safety and travel times on the Pacific Highway.
